rationale

• to help people find related information (e.g. blog, github.com)
• to introduce a new feature
• to apologize for a (recently introduced) bug
  • for the stupid cookie warning

non-functionals:

• limited to one line only
• allo, allo (listen to me carefully, I only say this once) => do not repeat messages as this is annoying.
• i18n
• easy to close
• based on visit/ re-visit (we can derive from cookies/ local storage)
• supports opt-out (also via cookies/ local storage)
• message history (?)

Researched 2015/01/31:

not supported in firefox (35), safari or chrome on mobile

Re-check later (e.g. when css level 4 is more mainstream)

features

• uses currently selected speed, color-scheme, text
• only enabled when text is reasonably sized and wouldn't create super sized gifs (and probably memory & cpu trouble)
