Not sure if this is intended behavior or not, but with the pointer events active on the tooltip it makes it hard to explore the data behind it (I wonder if even doing the tooltip with a lower background color opacity in addition to canceling pointer events would make it easier to know/explore data that the tooltip obscures.)

No hover event is firing

If the theme isn't selected, but it is in the line being displayed, show it as grayed out as opposed to filtered out.

Also note somewhere that people can interact with the popup bc some of the lines are long and can be scrolled.

Location in the middle of the themes seems strange to me.
The M1, M2, M3 need more context with a label of what they are referencing.

So I am not sure if this is a bug or intended.
When I select non-major characters, like Hercules Mulligan,
the Philip Hamilton icon disappears.
For a minute, I thought it was because actor with two roles are not shown at the same time but Lafayette/Jefferson and Mulligan/Madison are displayed at the same time when selecting the alternative character.

And there is no Peggy but that's ok - she only has one line ;)

I'm assuming you want to emphasize it, but it reads "link"
