Why?

To allow apps to link directly to content related to our notifications we should provide URLs. These URLs should link to the specific content the notification is about.

Types of notifications

• John doe started following you: app_name://tapglue/users/userId
• John doe commented on your post: app_name://tapglue/posts/postId/comments/commentId
• John doe liked your post: app_name://tapglue/posts/postId
• John doe also commented on Jane's post: app_name://tapglue/posts/postId/comments/commentId
• John Doe created a new post: app_name://tapglue/posts/postId
• Your friend John doe is also using app_name: app_name://tapglue/users/userId

Payload structure

On iOS the URL will be a property on the root:

{"aps":{...}, "url":"app_name://tapglue/etc"}

on android the URL will be inside a data object inside the notification object:

{"notification":{..., "data": {"url":"app_name://tapglue/etc"}}
