I'm registering test accounts on.

With a new CloudFlare test account.

To make it very clear these are testing/staging, not live 😄

First steps

• Using GitOps to manage DNS records (Cloudflare DNS Zone)
• Tech stack choices, and admin documentation
• Configuring the Github repository for maximum gains
  • Commit signing
  • Reviewing workflow
  • Low coordination overhead with infrastructure admins
  • Transparency for all contributors to inspect current config
  • Enabling all contributors to submit issues and PRs

Improvements

• Using GitOps to manage Cloudflare zones (in other words, being able to add more domain names without admins).

Beyond

• Consider linter / dry-run type tests to help with PRs.
• Consider configuration drift detection & mitigation.
• Consider generalizing the workflow for other cases (such as DigitalOcean infrastructure).
