load-estimates's Issues

Total bay-wide loading

Not sure if this is needed, may want to ask Ed & Maya, but a graph of the total annual loading could be useful to help tease out odd trends

Y-axis labels - add years under each segment

Suggest putting the years (1985...2020) under each of the graphs. Right now I'm either scrolling back and forth or reducing to 50% (really hard to see) to get the years on the screen with the top graph. Understood that it gets busy.

Create a similar tool but for TP

As per DEP request... but could be more simple. Just include annual load by segment and maybe include relevant WBIDs that apply to each segment.

kg/yr to tons/yr

For a lay audience, tons or lbs per year is probably a more relatable unit of measure.

Add a segment map?

Especially because there's a 'remainder of LTB' component, it would be good to have a segment map, even ppl who know the system likely won't know that split

Suggest as additional tab?

Add Normalized load graph on totals tab

P. 24ff of the 2009 RA ([https://drive.google.com/file/d/10IjJAfcGFf007a5VdPXAUtUi4dx-cmsA/view]) is the hydrologic explanation. From p. 31, calc relating current year to '94-'96 baseline:

Normalized TN Load = [Observed TN load x (1992-1994 hydrologic load)] / (Observed hydrologic load)

where the '92-94 load is segment specific, bulleted on p. 25:

  • Old Tampa Bay: 1.08
  • Hillsborough Bay: 1.62
  • Middle Tampa Bay: 1.24
  • Lower Tampa Bay: 0.97
  • Remainder of Lower Tampa Bay: 1.59.

Legend - spell out acronyms

I'm just here to make the graphics busier, but I think it'll be helpful to have AD, DPS, etc spelled out in the legends. I may be the wrong audience, but they're not acronyms I see on the regular. ;0)
