tidalcreek-dash's Issues

Creek_selectR

@fawda123 Check out interactive map on creekstats page https://tbep-tech.github.io/tidalcreek-stats/
I think this will be a handy tool but it also highlighted a couple issues with line file that could be improved. We can improve the line file in GIS but I think it may be better to wait to update the dashboard once the creek_selectR program is up and running. No rush, just adding as a reminder to incorporate updated line file once we get creek_selectR working

updates following MW call

  • Add reference lines on bar plots and option to toggle on off, see SAS code from MW
    • TSI 50 (estuary), 60 (lake)
    • chla:TN 1.5
    • TN 1.1
    • chl 11
  • add tn ratio as median of daily averages, join JEI to JEI, wbid keys
  • include creek JEI, wbid, creek name (if available) to plot title on creek selection tab
  • data download tab for creek selection
  • additional documentation similar to wq report card dashboard
  • add plotting functions for individual creeks to tbeptools (maybe)

updates prior to TAC meeting

Most of these suggestions come from an email from MW on 1/9

    • add overview tab and additional context explanations of what's on the app, particularly what the different scores mean in a management framework
    • remove freshwater segments
    • add disclaimer language to vignette and overview tab about non-regulatory application, something like this: It is important to note that this study and its findings, including the Framework outcomes, do not carry any regulatory authority and are not intended to supercede any State or Federal regulatory standards currently in place, including aquatic life criteria used to evaluate waterbody impairments or pollutant load reduction goals associated with existing or forthcoming total maximum daily loads (TMDLs). The nutrient management framework was developed to serve as a screening tool to identify creeks with elevated nutrient concentrations for further evaluation to protect their in stream ecology but is not designed to explicitly identify regulatory impairments (or lack thereof) or the needs of downstream waterbodies such as larger estuarine waters that may be in need of nutrient load reductions.
    • add content about relation to fish as primary biological response indicators, i.e., the stewardship and management action levels were based on fish as a biological response indicator. Other biological response indicators that may be more sensitive to elevated nutrient concentrations have not yet been identified and are an area of current research.
