emojicord's Issues

Wrong replacement of emoji while using custom emoji

Environment

Forge: 1.12.2-14.23.5.2847
Emojicord: v1.0.2.15
Mods: Emojicord

Step to reproduce

  1. Join FruitServer Discord.
  2. Connect Emojicord to Discord.
  3. Copy :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit: :fruit:
  4. Paste copied text to chat box and send.
  5. Click up arrow key and send.
  6. Repeat step 4 for 6 times.

Expected result

Same emoji will be shown in chat.

image

Actual result

Wrong emoji is shown.

image

Reason

I think this is because of wrong replacement of emoji in Emojicord.
Emojicord replaces :fruit: to <:fruit:A1M96dlCAAA=>.
If the emoji's internal text reaches the chat length limit, it will be cut off. But, it includes :fruit:.
When we click up arrow key, it automatically loads previous chat history, and Emojicord will replace :fruit: to <:fruit:A1M96dlCAAA=>. It'll append extra < to previous chat history.

Big performance issue

Calling Thread.currentThread().getStackTrace(); causes a big performance drop specially the situation you have multiple objects capable of rendering text making it the main hotspot.

Just noticed this issue here:

When you are going to create a character, you can pick it's base and detail colors. As soon you click one of the colors to change, the game just freezes. No crash logs, nothing on console. Just freezing.

Several Default Discord Emojis Are Missing

Environment

  • Minecraft 1.12.2
  • Forge 14.23.5.2847
  • Emojicord v1.0.2.15
  • Other mods:
    • None

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. In Minecraft, try to use an Emoji that exists on Discord (such as :face_vomitting:)
  2. Emoji doesn't appear in list.
  3. Type :face_vomitting:
  4. Still doesn't appear
  5. Type :face_vomitting: in Discord and see that it's one of the defaults provided.

Expected behavior

All default discord Emojis should be included.

Actual behavior

There are several emojis missing.

Additional context

I haven't gone through and made an exhaustive list (since there's a lot of Emojis), but if you need me to I can give you a list of all Emojis that are in Discord that are not appearing in Emojicord/Minecraft.

Also, note that I'm referring to the default Discord emojis. Not custom server emojis or anything like that. Just the standard emojis that ship with Discord.

Clicking on the "ready" button on the emojicord webapp brings up a missing page

Environment

  • Minecraft [e.g. 1.12.2]
  • Forge [e.g. 1.12.2-14.23.5.2847]
  • Emojicord [e.g. v1.0.2.15]
  • Other mods:
    • The Entire Sky Factory 4 Modpack (not going to list, shouldn't be relevant though since it seems to be on the website side)

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open up the chat > emoji list > emoji pack config > Add via Emojicord Web
  2. Log in to discord on the site that was pulled up on my web browser
  3. Invited the bot to my server
  4. Refresh the page and click the ready button the server that now has the emojicord bot
  5. Brings up a missing page

Expected behavior

To send me to this page that can only be gotten to by clicking the tab on the top as far as I can tell

Screen Shot 2020-02-03 at 11 49 54 PM

Actual behavior

Gives this page instead saying the page was missing

Screen Shot 2020-02-03 at 11 42 59 PM

Additional context

I feel like this should just take you to the second tab instead. If that's not the case then I feel it would be helpful to give more indication that the top bar are things you can click on

Also on a similar note I feel it would be nice to add some documentation on how exactly the json files are setup, just in case someone else has a problem with the website, and or if they want to add emotes from a server they don't have permissions from (since looking at the json file generated it seems like that would be doable).

  2. Open the chat
  3. You will see that the emojis are replaced by white text.

Expected behavior

Emojis should render correctly.

Actual behavior
