Migration from Azure database for PostgreSQL single server to flexible server.

This Github repo contains the details of an automated solution to migrate schema and data from Azure Database for PostgreSQL - Single server to Azure Database for PostgreSQL - Flexible server with minimum downtime to application. There are two ways to perform the migration - Online and Offline. The documentation and video tutorials for the two methods are in the respective folders to help with the migration process. Online v Offline PG Migrations.pdf in the root folder describes and compares Online and Offline migrations.

Online Migration

There are 3 pdf files in this folder.

• sspg-fspg-migration-concept.pdf - This is the document which explains the concepts used behind building the migration solution and should be the first document to be read.

• sspg-fspg-migration-portal.pdf - This document explains how to consume the migration solution using the Azure Portal

• sspg-fspg-migration-cli.pdf - This document explains how to consume the migration solution using the Azure CLI

Also accompanying are a couple of videos.

• sspg-fspg-portal-demo - A recorded demo of using the migration solution using Azure portal

• sspg-fspg-CLI-demo - A recorded demo of using the migration solution using Azure CLI

Offline Migration

There is a pdf file in this folder.
