This point is really needed for automating things around template based scans, do you have a solution in the meantime?

The current way I resolved this was to Copy the template and create a "User Template" from that, then I could reference it.

Thank you @Kocrachon , by creating a user Template, you mean creating a scan based on a Template without any modification ?
I do not see it clearly
