Since you seem to be taking support for this repository (thanks for that, btw), may I suggest to create a dedicated Github org , e.g. getopt-php to maintain it, instead of keeping it under your personal account?

It would make it easier on clients, should there be any need to change maintainers again in the future, avoiding the need to change the namespace, etc.

Then, with @ulrichsg's agreement, you can ask him to transfer ownership of the original repo, or contact Github support turn the org's fork into the network's "parent" repo.

This project is still a fork of ulrichsg/getopt-php. Now that ulrichs suggests this repo we should update the documentation with the new added features. and link this documentation here...
