Currently, the library breaks the strings into chunks multiple times when sorting with the StringSlice interface. This could be improved if the chunking was only done once per item in the list. I'm not really sure if this makes a significant difference, especially because I think the sort package's algorithm is pretty good, but it should still be investigated.

(also, then there should be a way of handling this for custom sort.Interfaces)
