I'm guessing only the legacy method has been tested so far, and this call should be to _getIssuerData (with an underscore in front)?

Not everyone who uses an Android device is able to use/access the Google Play Store. (This is even more common with older devices and people in disadvantaged countries, etc.)

Is it possible to publish the APK here on GitHub in conjunction with tags and/or releases? Or otherwise publishing it, e.g., on the Commons Project web site? That would allow people who aren't able to use Google Play Store to access and install the app on their Android devices.
