Hi,

How can I set password while accessing the novnc through browser? Right not directly clicking connect works.

Also, I'm trying to set this up on heroku.

Hi, first i have to mention that I am a docker starter.

I tried to run firefox that runs in a different container.
But I always receive the following error message:
Unable to init server: Broadway display type not supported: novnc:0.0

Error: cannot open display: novnc:0.0

Start Failed: Failed to initialize graphics environment

java.awt.AWTError: Can't connect to X11 window server using 'novnc:0.0' as the value of the DISPLAY variable.

I am using the example docker compose. Any ideas?

If I set
network_mode: host
in docker-compose file, the http://localhost:8080/vnc.html does not work anymore
here is my setup

There isn't a NoVNC container image published to Docker Hub that supports arm64 (e.g., new Macs or Raspberry Pis). (The treehouse/novnc image is completely, and honestly quite impressively, broken.)

I was able to build yours and run it just fine on a Raspberry Pi 4. It would be great if you could publish the images for multiple platforms so it doesn't have to be rebuilt.

You would need to tweak your CircleCI config to use docker buildx build, something like this:

docker buildx build --platform linux/amd64,linux/arm64 --push -t theasp/novnc:latest -f Dockerfile .

The downside is that you have to build and push in a single step. And you probably need to figure out how to configure qemu-user-static and binfmt_msc -- not sure how easy that is to do on CircleCI.
