Since there is no need of the vendor kernel to boot on the VisionFive 2, an image like this is no longer necessary. You can build one using the standard process now:

1. Create an image using truncate -s <SIZE> <FILE>.
2. Mount it to loopback.
3. Partition it.
4. Mount loopback devices to /mnt/{,boot/{,efi}}.
5. Standard Arch Linux installation procedure from here.
6. Profit

Pacman install issue with riscv64 package

Hello,

when i try to run the ./create-image.sh script with root privilege, l’m facing with this error when pacman is trying to install the requirement package :

error: failed to prepare transaction (package architecture is not valid)
:: package linux-starfive-visionfive2-5.15.0.arch1-3-riscv64 does not have a valid architecture
:: package linux-starfive-visionfive2-headers-5.15.0.arch1-3-riscv64 does not have a valid architecture

Should i change some settings from pacman to allow install those package ?

I'm using a pure Arch Linux distro X86_64

Hey @thefossguy this image is great!
How did you build the kernel? Yours doesn't support the USB wifi dongle that was provided by Starfive but their image v2.10.4 does. I'd therefore like to build a version of the kernel that does support it.
