SyntaxError: Block-scoped declarations (let, const, function, class) not yet supported outside strict mode

Hi, thank you for this package. It's just what I want. I copy&pasted the sample code (i-love-you) in the README into index.js file, but it runs with error outputs. What's wrong with my development environment? How to fix it?

This project seems to have been abandoned.

For those of you, who like me, are trying to generate tts with node.js I ended up forking this and writing a package myself.

It's promised-based which is nice and it fixes an issue with this module which makes the tts voice stutter around every 5-10 seconds.

Any support for male/female version?
