It seems input()
returns an empty string when Vim installed by vim-appimage is used. Probably it's not a bug but limitation or issue on vim-appimage side?

It's a bit complicated because I've noticed this issue when running tests of denops_std but what the test does is
au CmdlineEnter * call feedkeys("Hello world\<CR>", "t")

Hi,
Thanks for the awesome plugin, I use it a lot for my own plugin testing!
Have a look at my action: https://github.com/kkoomen/vim-doge/actions/runs/5499186462/jobs/10021206608
It did fail for vim v7.4.2119, where as the head vim version doesn't seem to have a problem. Can you fix the issue?
Hello!
I hope you are doing well!
We are a security research team. Our tool automatically detected a vulnerability in this repository. We want to disclose it responsibly. GitHub has a feature called Private vulnerability reporting, which enables security research to privately disclose a vulnerability. Unfortunately, it is not enabled for this repository.
Can you enable it, so that we can report it?
Thanks in advance!
PS: you can read about how to enable private vulnerability reporting here: https://docs.github.com/en/code-security/security-advisories/repository-security-advisories/configuring-private-vulnerability-reporting-for-a-repository
I'd like to build for neovim v0.2.0 but when forcing to build from source it fails. I've used a custom docker before based on Vimjas/vim-testbed and this repo is able to build successfully for v0.2.0.
strategy:
matrix:
vim_type: ['neovim']
os: ['ubuntu-latest', 'macos-latest']
include:
vim_version: 'v0.2.0'
runs-on: '${{ matrix.os }}'
steps:
- uses: 'actions/checkout@v2'
- name: 'Setup Vim'
id: 'vim'
uses: 'thinca/action-setup-vim@v1'
with:
vim_version: '${{ matrix.vim_version }}'
vim_type: neovim
- name: 'Run test'
run: |
# Show Vim's version
${{ steps.vim.outputs.executable }} --version
# ... run tests ...
It should build successfully for v0.2.0
It fails with an error at the make
command.
v1.0.5 was re-released as v1.0.6, v1.0, and v1.
By https://github.com/thinca/action-setup-vim/actions/runs/342006295, it was ran on v1.0.5.
thinca/action-setup-vim@v1
builds older Vim versions on macOS.
thinca/action-setup-vim@v1
fails to build older Vim versions on macOS.
Thanks for making this project :)
I have a small vim plugin that I am trying to test on Github Actions. However, I am getting the following error about tag_name
not being a property of undefined using this setup. Upon further investigation, I noticed that the README is using version
to list things like stable
and head
and vim_version
to list specific software versions such as v8.2.0000
. However, the project's CI test file seems to do this the other way around. This prompted me to do it this way instead but without any luck.
I have marked this as a question rather than an issue since I am most likely not using the action correctly but I would advise a change in the README to clarify things if this is indeed a mistake.
