on auction and item pages. rough version only. ie, "four days left in the auction". or "this auction will close sometime today, get your bids in while you can!"

when completed, just show item media and description. If user visiting was the winner, show them that.

when someone enters a new bid on an item that a user has bid on, let them know and encourage them to go enter a higher bid.

have an easy interface for onika to send a broadcast message out to everyone who has bid on an item in the auction.

For some period of time after bidding, users should be able to retract an accidental bid.

staff only dashboard showing all recent bids. preferably updated in realtime.

login field is just an email address. filling it in and selecting login/register generates a random token with timeout which goes in the database and is emailed to the user. User clicks link in email and the token is validated, they are logged in and sent back to the page they were originally trying to access. Token is deleted from the database.

when the auction is closed, emails need to go out to all winners. probably want to send emails to non-winners as well.
