chatpad-linux's Issues

I do not fully understand the quick start guide.

I tried to use nodejs but no such thing was installed โ€” I install with sudo pacman -S nodejs and all I can use is node. Your operating system may present this executable differently.

Serial port? What the hell is that? I run this script I found from Stack Overflow:

#!/bin/bash

for sysdevpath in $(find /sys/bus/usb/devices/usb*/ -name dev); do
    (
        syspath="${sysdevpath%/dev}"
        devname="$(udevadm info -q name -p $syspath)"
        [[ "$devname" == "bus/"* ]] && exit
        eval "$(udevadm info -q property --export -p $syspath)"
        [[ -z "$ID_SERIAL" ]] && exit
        echo "/dev/$devname - $ID_SERIAL"
    )
done

My only "Serial ports" to my understand in that script are in /dev/input as js2 and event20. Neither of these worked when I used them with sudo node index.js. โ€” a bunch of debug stuff was spat out at me.

Am I doing it wrong?
