I've been noticing - if a video is being played as part of the presentation, the rsync keeps firing and updating all files even when there is no change....

Turns out that the pipresents script for omxplayer (omxdriver.py) has a line that sends a log file of the omxplayer to the current folder. Every time a video plays the logfile is written, Rsync then sees a change - deletes the file and restarts the presentation

Result - the presentation loops just after the video plays - or within a minute of the last rsync

Cure:

1. Change the rsync to less often - not a good solution

2. Edit pp_omxdriver.py
   comment out lines 119 and 122
   uncomment line 121

I think either here or in init.d the wrong script is called - should be pipresents-rsync
