emoji-extractor's Issues

save files as unified unicode codepoint

Instead of numbering the file sequentially, how would I modify this to save the file with the unicode codepoint for each character in the filename?

(I can help do the char->codepoint conversion, but it's unclear to me where in this code the "current character" is represented such that I can convert it. Thanks!)

Doesn't work on Ruby 2.1

emoji_extractor.rb:52: invalid multibyte escape: /\211PNG/

Using rbenv to switch to 1.8.7 was simple enough, though.

thanks

no issues, i just love this script and wanted to say i've used those 160x160 in tonnes of uni assignments over the years (just as stock images for apps/websites, etc)

Apple changed filetype to .ttc

Running OS 10.12. Emojis are now stored under a different name. .ttc instad of .ttf. Furthermore, running the ruby script with the correct file name seems to still do nothing.

Specify ttf file to extract from

I don't know exactly how this works but if you would add a way to specify a ttf file when running the command, it would be nice! The main use for this is for if you were to acquire an older version of the Apple Color Emoji font and to move it to a different computer though to use this script, perhaps one that you don't want to mess with the system folder on.

Extract specific Emoji in specific size

I wish there was a way to extract a high-res Emoji, specifying the character and size like so:

ruby emoji_extractor.rb -s 160x160 ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

I have no clue about ruby, might be easy to implement?
