Go Game

Goals

  • Create the basic game
  • Implement Carta counting algorithm
  • Train Deep Learning Model on playing the game

What is this?

This is a minimal Version of the Go board game. Because the board size is settable, the complexity can be reduced at will. This might make it possible to try out various unsupervised learning models without the need for a Supercomputer.

Currently the point evaluation is beeing adjusted to fit the best approximation when the both players pass. See rules if you are not familiar with Go.

Challenges

  • Improve point evaluation accuracy at game end
    • This has shown to be far from trivial
    • This paper seems to be the best solution so far and will be implemented

How to compile

Sorry but I do not know how to compile and run the program. I have no clue for now. Can you write a guide for this?

Implement Rules

  1. Stone can't be placed where he'd die instantly - Function exists, need to be used properly
  2. Can't return the board to the way it looked on yon your last turn - no kicking back in the next round

Board Size Input Check

Check if the input when prompted for Board Size is a positive Integer. If it is not, keep prompting for it until it is.

Tip: There is a check pretty similiar for the Input of Row and Column

Add no print mode

Add boolean instance variable to disable System output for model training
