boto3's Issues

Should bucket.get() always return the empty string?

I would like to check if a bucket exists. I have tried bucket.get(), but it always returns ''.

from boto3.s3.resources import Bucket, BucketCollection
bucket_name = 'bucket-that-does-not-exists'
bucket = Bucket(bucket=bucket_name)
assert(bucket.get() == '')
BucketCollection().create(bucket=bucket_name)
assert(bucket.get() == '')
bucket.delete()

Should I use one of the other methods such as bucket.get_acl(), which raises

boto3.core.exceptions.ServerError: [NoSuchBucket]: The specified bucket does not exist
