Hi there👋

I’m Daniel Olagunju, a full-stack engineer (JavaScript/Python) with over 5 years of experience designing and developing enterprise web and mobile applications. I have worked on various projects using React, React-Native, NextJS, TypeScript, Python, Django, Flask, PostgreSQL, Firebase, AWS, and other technologies. I have also won a grant for integrating Stellar blockchain into Quidroo, a factoring platform for SMEs. I’m passionate about coding and helping businesses succeed.

Projects

Here are some of the projects that I have worked on or contributed to:

Web

  • Chimoney - replica of the Real chimoney app: A fintech app that allows users to securely create and manage their accounts, send and receive payments, and view their transaction history, all integrated with Chimoney’s API and deployed live for easy access
  • Dashylytics: A streamlined app designed to provide a comprehensive analytics dashboard. It offers real-time data visualization, helping users track key metrics, understand trends, and make data-driven decisions with ease.
  • Bandage E-Commerce store: An e-commerce website, designed with user-friendliness and minimalism in mind. The platform features two main pages: the Homepage and the Product Details page. The Homepage displays a dynamic product list, sourced from an API, complemented by static content. The Product Details page provides an in-depth look at each product. A user can add items to their cart or wishlist, and the data will persist even after refreshing or reopening the page.
  • Simple Blog: A user-friendly blog where users can create, read, update, and delete blog posts, as well as search for posts by title.
  • Playa: Playa is a music app that allows you to connect with over 1000 live listening rooms across genres, host your own rooms, chat live, follow people with similar music tastes, and manage your music library with ease by collecting songs, sharing playlists, and syncing playlists live across platforms.
  • Amazin Trips: Amazin Trips is your comprehensive travel companion app (web/Mobile), designed to handle all your travel planning needs seamlessly.
  • Quidroo: An online factoring platform where transactions are streamlined and SMEs get paid within 72 hours by selling their invoices to investors to get fast cash at favorable rates. I led a team to build and integrate the Stellar blockchain into Quidroo, winning a Stellar Community Fund grant of $35,000 for cross-border transaction compliance.
  • Geynius: An AI platform that helps you create a professional resume, portfolio, and cover letter in minutes. I worked with a team of developers to create modular, reusable components, optimize code, and integrate ChatGPT API into the application.
  • WasteCoin: A mobile blockchain application designed to incentivize users for their recycling efforts. I built the web landing page with React.
  • Carilo: A web and mobile platform that connects senders to verified carriers to enable cost-effective and seamless way billing of packages with ease. I built the web frontend using NextJs, Tailwind, and Typescript.
  • Duro: A virtual queue management system that allows customers to make an appointment and join a virtual queue by scanning a QR code. I worked with a team of developers to build the frontend using NextJS, Typescript, and TailwindCSS. I was personally responsible for the development of the APIs and integration of Firebase BaaS.
  • Reliance HMO PFSO: A feature that makes it easy to filter, export, and share the hospitals across all states that are available under any plan of choice, making it easy to find the right healthcare provider. I worked with a team of developers to build the frontend using NextJS, Typescript, and TailwindCSS. I was personally responsible for writing the logic to handle complex search queries, select and multi-select feature components as well as consumption of APIs.

Mobile

  • Shaanu: A mobile app that empowers neighbors to share unused food, household items with each other, or even money, helping to alleviate the financial burden of everyday life. I built the app using React Native, Typescript, and Expo.
  • WasteCoin: A mobile blockchain application designed to incentivize users for their recycling efforts. I worked with a team of developers to build the mobile frontend using React Native and Expo. I was personally responsible for creating reusable components and writing the backend logic with Python (Django).
  • FarmGrid: An in-house mobile application for Futux Agric-consult Ltd that allows farm extension agents to capture farmers’ data, farm data, geospatial data for agro-finance analysis, and efficient produce operations. I worked with Tope Albert to build the mobile frontend using React Native, Typescript, and Expo. I was personally responsible for creating reusable components, developing an algorithm for calculating Farm area, and integrating Google Maps.
  • Carilo: A web and mobile platform that connects senders to verified carriers to enable cost-effective and seamless way billing of packages with ease. I worked with a team of developers to build the mobile frontend using React Native and Expo.
  • Recykoin: A mobile application designed to incentivize users for their recycling efforts. It was built for Chanja Datti Ltd. I built the app using React Native, Expo - frontend; Django - backend, and deployed it on the google play store.

Open Source Libraries

  • Nigeria-states-lga react library: A public react library that allows developers to quickly fetch data about Nigerian geographical regions, states, and Local Government Areas (LGA). It has two widgets and three API hooks (useStatesApi, useStateLGAApi, StateWidget, LGAWidget, useRegionsApi).
  • React-user-analytics Library: A public react library that allows developers to manage certain users’ analytics data such as is collected by google analytics (user device, user location, pages visited, etc.). It has four hooks (useGetUserLocation, useUserDevice, useIsUserUnique, useUserNavigation).

Udacity has decided to open a new digitally enabled coffee shop where students can order drinks, socialize, and study. But they need help setting up their menu experience.

udacityndfsprojecttwo-trivia icon udacityndfsprojecttwo-trivia

Trivia app is developed as Udacity is invested in creating bonding experiences for its employees and students. A bunch of team members got the idea to hold trivia on a regular basis and created a webpage to manage the trivia app and play the game, but their API experience is limited and still needs to be built out.

In this project, you will apply the skills you have acquired in this course to operationalize a Machine Learning Microservice API. You are given a pre-trained, sklearn model that has been trained to predict housing prices in Boston according to several features, such as average rooms in a home and data about highway access, teacher-to-pupil ratios, and so on. You can read more about the data, which was initially taken from Kaggle, on the data source site. This project tests your ability to operationalize a Python flask app—in a provided file, app.py—that serves out predictions (inference) about housing prices through API calls. This project could be extended to any pre-trained machine learning model, such as those for image recognition and data labeling.

In this project, you will prove your mastery of the following learning objectives (or sections): Explain the fundamentals and benefits of CI/CD to achieve, build, and deploy automation for cloud-based software products. Utilize Deployment Strategies to design and build CI/CD pipelines that support Continuous Delivery processes. Utilize a configuration management tool to accomplish deployment to cloud-based servers. Surface critical server errors for diagnosis using centralized structured logging.

This project is the second project in the Cloud DevOps Engineer Nanodegree program which requires that I use my knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IoC) to design and develop and deploy a website called udagram using Cloud formation. EC2 instances, Load balancers, Internet gateways, VPC, Private and Public Subnets among other AWS cloud infrastructure were coded in the projectTwo.yml file as against using the AWS console.
