The demo has been tested on Microsoft Edge on macOS monterey.

In addition, localhost or HTTPS are required to use this API.

If the browser does not support the API, the Dynamsoft Barcode Reader polyfill will be used.

Barcode detection stopped working in Chrome

The barcode detection seems to have stopped working in Chrome.

I've tried on Chrome versions 108.0.5359.94, and 108.0.5359.124 it says it support BarcodeDetect, the camera comes up, and correctly reflects the image, BUT when presented with a barcode it does not detect it. I've tried with QRcodes and UPC codes off products.

Testing the same codes in Firefox works - it uses the Polyfill.

It may be something in the OS. I'm running on a MacBook Air which was recently upgraded to 13.1

I noticed a play project of my own, which had a QR code scanner built based on the code in some documentation and used to work (maybe a month ago) also stopped working in Chrome, so I have feeling its something to do with Barcode.detect which seems to always return an empty array now.
