Jupitar

Developed a Tomcat-hosted web application (around150 QPS measured by Apache JMeter) allowing individual users to check out nearby events, like/unlike events and get recommended events accordingly; specifically created an user-interactive web page with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and AJAX technique, utilized Ticketmaster API data to acquire the user’s nearby events w/ filtered info, built both MySQL and MongoDB databases to manage data of user and event info, implemented content-based recommendation feature based on liked events, handled HTTP requests and responses for registration, login/out, search and recommendation functions with respective Java servlets, tested the project by Postman and JUnit test & analyzed peak time by MongoDB map-reduce implementation, and finally deployed the service on Amazon EC2.
