This plugin is an adium wrapper around the libpurple plugin skype4pidgin (web) from EionRobb

How to build yourself

Checkout this git repository and init submodules

git clone --recursive https://github.com/tripplet/skypeweb4adium.git
Install openssl (necessary for building adium)

brew install openssl
Patch adium

git apply adium.patch
Apply Make the opid stage optional patch

git apply --directory=skype4pidgin skype4pidgin_pull_request_665.patch
Compile Adium:

cd adium; make -j
Compile the plugin:

xcodebuild -configuration Release -project "skypeweb4adium.xcodeproj"

Skype account suspended when using this plugin in Adium

Hello,
This plugin is great to add support for Skype in Adium.

Nevertheless, those days I encounter a recurrent problem when using it everyday in Adium:
after a few days, Skype e-mail me that my account has been suspended for security reasons.

I can change my password to reactivate my account, but it appears that if I regularly chat using Skype application, there is no problem, whereas if I use Adium+skyeweb4adium, the problem occurs systematically after a few days.

Any idea?

Is it related to this port to Adium?
Is it related to the original SkykeWeb plugin for pigdin? https://github.com/EionRobb/skype4pidgin/
Is it related to my config?

Here is the patch. Changing mood text does not seem to be implemented in purple plugin, however.

Unable to join bookmarked chat

When I receive a message in a group chat I save this chat to contacts list for further usage. But immediately after saving I can't use this chat no more. Adium says:

The bookmark курилка does not contain enough information and can not be used. Please recreate it next time you join the chat. Would you like to remove this bookmark?

Is there a way to join groups chats?

Smilies not working

Instead of the standard smilies i get the following:
<ss type="smile">:)</ss>

Is it possible to translate them to standard adium icons? It should be possible with some kind of "translation matrix" right?

can't login since 08/19/2020 -- might need 1.6

I'm unable to sign in since yesterday. Apparently, that's true of people using the Pidgin plugin from which this is derived. There's been a report that 1.6 + alternate login worked for the Pidgin version. See:

EionRobb/skype4pidgin#656

Mentioned user not shown correctly

The "@" symbol to mention a user is not rendered correctly:

It's shown as following:
<at id="8:janoschspaulquappe">@Jand</at>

Best would be to also make it some kind of link to open a separate chat window. Also it would be nice to have some kind of special alert for that use.
But if that's all not possible I would just print out the "@JanD"

Version 1.5 is out, can you update please?

I think that with recent changes in Skype, people will need the "alternative auth" support present in the newer release to be able to use this.
