An observed-cadence melee swing timer for the local player.
SwingMeter watches incoming FFXI action packets for your normal melee attack rounds. Each detected round resets the bar to 0%. The bar fills toward 100% over the learned interval until the next expected attack round.
It continuously adapts with an exponential moving average, so Haste, Slow, weapon delay changes, and other cadence changes converge after subsequent swings. Multi-attacks are treated as one attack round because they arrive in one action packet. Learned cadence resets on disengage and whenever your melee action targets a different monster; the first round establishes zero and the second establishes the new interval.
- Extract
swingmeterintoAshita/addons/. - Run
/addon load swingmeter.
/swing on|off|toggle/swing status/swing reset/swing auto— restore responsive placement: horizontally centered and 55.56% down the viewport/swing pos <x|center> <y>/swing center— center horizontally while preserving the current Y position/swing size <width> <height>/swing help
Settings persist per character. The meter is shown only while engaged.
- 0% means an attack round was just observed.
- 100% means the next round is expected now.
- The displayed cadence is learned from recent actual rounds, not claimed as a server-authoritative countdown.
- Network delivery, animation timing, missed packets, target death, disengaging, and abrupt Haste/Slow changes can move an individual swing away from the estimate.
Target: Ashita v4.16.
