I tried replacing 16 WindowsFrame_WindowsEdges Files from your macOS Monterey release using ThemeEngine App but after saving. The base files automatically get modified with opacity 255 and colour to black .Results

Instruction to compile .car file

Thank you for your awesome work. It was working perfectly on macOS 10.15 but unfortunately the provided .car stopped working on macOS 10.15.1

Can you point me to a resource/tutorial on how to modify the .car file?

[Question] Remove bright window borders

Hey, I remember a discussion about the bright window borders in #1. Now that I fully switched to yabai and Big Sur, I was hoping to remove these too. However, I also have not been able to find the file you were referring to in #1.
Are there any updates, i.e. did you refresh your memory on that issue yet?

Stutter on Catalina

Visually its perfect..

when dragging windows around it is slow and it stutters .. not smooth at all.

Activity Monitor is the most stuttery and laggy when dragging/moveing the app window.

hopefully you can fix this.

is this repo supports for osx monterey light theme?

I checked /System/Library/CoreServices/SystemAppearance.bundle/Contents/Resources
there are only three files prefix DarkAuqa : DarkAqua.car DarkAquaAX.car DarkAquaVisibleBezels.car
so what am I supposed to do with this repo's DarkAquaAppearence.car and is it supported for light theme?

Does it work without Yabai?

I ditched Yabai for performance reasons. Will this work without it?

Works in Big Sur Beta 1

Reproduce:

• new aqua appearance is inside the same folder, but currently in subfolder .instrumentedappearances
• copy over to Catalina drive
• edit in ThemeEngine on Cataline drive
• copy back to Big Sur

This issue is a placeholder and will be updated for the duration of the beta.
On Big Sur release, I will create a PR for this.

Hey all,

It's been a while since I touched this. I'm learning some Swift in order to create a native macOS application for all the options and various settings you can tweak. Once that's done a bit update is coming. Until then this repo will remain as-is but if anyone is experiencing issues know that soon it's going to be a GUI to change your macOS Aqua theme.

osx 12 can't write in to /system folder

Hi, I have tried to replace the Aqua.car file, but unfortunately even after disable SIP the file system seems still read-only.
