Problem Description

In lecture 9 and lecture 10, we have implemented a basic, vanilla version of threadpool - a fundamental building block for most parallel job processing systems. However, the implementation is not the optimal, and there are many things to improve.

Your job in this assignment is to follow what we have implemented in lecture 10 and come up with different ways to improve the speed.

This is an open research project and requires no specific algorithms for you to implement. You will need to research it online and/or come up with your own idea to speed up the implementation.

Submittion

You will need to submit your solution by replying to this issue with your source code attached.

Deadline

You will need to submit your solution by the end of 2023/03/16.

On 3/27, we talked about a simple implementation for parallel reduction (i.e., with equal chunk size), in this assignment, your will need to modify the example we did on 3/27 to support guided scheduling.
