Better detection of salutation

Hello,

as a guy knew I was French, he used it to greet me, using my shortname (Tom instead of Thomas):

Salut Tom!

After seeing some of your skills on Github, I’m interested in your profile for a senior position in Amsterdam, with the very cool and rapidly growing XXX (the worlds leading YYY platform, with 30 million unique monthly users).

Some thoughts:

• shortname could be identified a friendly approach (like the keep in touch you already track)
• a different language intro is a form of high personalisation (bonus point?)
• in any case, it should be detected as a greeting (it was not)

I'm not sure a friendly approach is always a penalty. Maybe if the email is too long, because that would be awkward. If it's a short and directed email, that might be tolerated.

What do you think about it?
