fast-shadow

A python function for quickly calculating shadows for a DSM (digital surface model) . The function shadow_calc is used for shadow calculation.

animate.py has a usage example where you need to add a path to a DSM and the script will create a short animation as a showcase of how the function could be used. The result of animate.py should look something like this. Though the tool is capable of calculating shadows for fas more complex geometries. animation
