gradle com.usaa.sonar-quality-gates plugin

i am trying to apply com.usaa.sonar-quality-gates plugin in the build to check and fail the build in case it is not able to pass the quality profile mentioned in SonarQube.

I know we can do this with the jenkins plugin but we don't want to use jenkins plugin as our build will fail locally if there is dependency on jenkins in between. Hence we don't want to go with the mixed approach of jenkins and gradle.

When i am trying to execute the task of this plugin in gradle by using below command i am getting the error i have listed in above post:
Command :
gradlew :aggregation-api:applyQualityGate -Dsonar.host.url={sonarQube URL} -Dsonar.login={key to sonarQube} --stacktrace

But i am getting below error :

What went wrong:
Execution failed for task ':aggregation-api:applyQualityGate'.

Can anyone please help me with this.

Plugin tries to hit non-existent /api/events API on SonarQube 7.9.4

Running against SonarQube 7.9.4 produces a 404 error for /api/events

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start SonarQube 7.9.4
  2. Run ./gradlew applyQualityGate applyQualityProfile sonarqube verifySonarqubeQualityGates --debug against a project
  3. See the following error appear

See this sample project (sonar-quality-gates branch) to reproduce the error. Run ./gradlew dockerComposeUp then after SonarQube has started run ./gradlew applyQualityGate applyQualityProfile sonarqube verifySonarqubeQualityGates --debug.

Looking at the API docs for this version of SonarQube there is no /api/events API.

[Question] Correct way to add SonarQube Server 8.0 support

Hi!

This plugin is very useful for me, but I use SonarQube Server 8.0, which is not supported by the plugin. I experimented with code and implemented initial support for 8.0 API. So far it's working good for me.

And I have a question. What will be the correct way to publish this modifications? Publish them in cloned repository? Recreate repository with a new name, e. g. sonar-quality-gates-v2?

Status Code 401 when execute applyQualityGate on gradle

Hi, everyone.

When I execute the command line:

gradlew applyQualityGate applyQualityProfile sonarqube verifySonarqubeQualityGates

I receive the response below:

Task :applyQualityGate FAILED

FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.

What went wrong:
Execution failed for task ':applyQualityGate'.
groovyx.net.http.HttpResponseException: status code: 401

I'm using:

- Gradle 6.6.1
- SonarQube Community Edition Version 9.0.1 (build 46107)
- Sonarqube Gradle Plugin 3.3

I have configured the plugin as specified in https://plugins.gradle.org/plugin/com.usaa.sonar-quality-gates
