marugoto-validator's Issues

Identifying other similar pages where an edit is necessary (page title)

On certain pages (especially during menu choices in ch4), I would like to add a
to the page title, so that the information ([4 days left], etc.) appears on a new line. Is there any way to identify other pages where I need to make this edit, once I've done it on one page? (e.g. I could search "[...days left]" and all the pages where this is in the title would appear, so that I could work through editing them manually)

Identifying similar pages where an edit is necessary (imageComponent)

If I decide that I need to redesign a page in order to make, say, a textExercise easier, is there any advanced search function where I can look for all page folders which contain both an imageComponent.json page and a textExercise.json page, so that I would be able to have a list of which pages need to be redesigned? (Or similarly other combinations: textExercise + dateExercise + dialog, for example)

pageTransition confirmation for complicated criteria

I seem to have set up the menu choices on 2.4.3.2 and 2.4.4.3 wrongly. I had thought that "visitedAny" would mean that a pageTransition button would only be visible if the player had been to the pages listed in the visitedAny criteria. But I seem to have misunderstood this. Would there be any way a confirmation window/message could come up saying something like, "pageTransition button will be visible to all players except xx" or "pageTransition button will not be visible unless xx"? In other words, a kind of preview feature for what complicated page criteria will actually look like in terms of frontend choices?

Consequences of errors

I've just made an error. I spotted it in the log and have corrected it (I hope!). But in the meantime, PlantationLives became unplayable. It didn't affect me but I worry about what would have happened if people were playing at the same time that I was making an (unsuccessful) import. Will the validator eventually mean this doesn't happen any more, i.e. that the error will be caught before it crashes the importer?

Error message detail

If there's some kind of error which is preventing the importer from functioning, it would be wonderful if we could have some kind of message showing not only the page (e.g. 2.4.4.2/textComponent.json) but also the line number. This would speed things up a lot and also help identify if there's a problem like the "hidden character" Christian found last week.

validate file endings

This is just to follow up on something you said in Rocketchat: it would be great if the validator could respond to a command with something like:
all image paths in a list of images should end with .jpg
all audio paths should end with .mp3
