dedsec-grub2-theme's Issues

Old version still around?

Hey buddy,

I must confess i always used your grub theme in every distro, as soon as i found it.
Anyway, since you updated and now have all these styles available, they all look cool but with a blurry font. At least in my machine, i would prefer the old theme, do you happen to still have it?

cheers

Failure to install from Aur

When trying to install the package with yay from Aur I get the following error message: "_install: unable to perform `stat' on '/home/d4riu5/.cache/yay/dedsec-grub2-theme/src/dedsec-grub2-theme/assets/backgrounds/compact.png': file or directory does not exist"

Kali Linux boot animation not working

After installing the theme and follow the tweak instructions, the Kali Plymouth/splash screen does not work even trying these commands.
sudo plymouth-set-default-theme kali -R && sudo update-grub

[SOLVED] Installation script failed

the grub boot didn't change

i am using kali linux and for some reason it just doesn't show up. the script installed it just fine and i tried doing it manually too?

Yes, yes, YESS!

I'd love a script that runs at startup, that switches the active GRUB theme... with ability to select which ones I want to use. Or, derp - If I install several, but not all, will GRUB cycle them?

THANKS - this is exactly what I was looking for! LOVE the graphics, retro, pin-up! UHHHHHH!!!

NixOS w/o a flake??

I assume to add to NixOS I'll HAVE to use a flake? I guess this is at least that reason to finally learn flakes... cause i need my dedsec!!! ๐Ÿ“ฆ

Maybe its why I need to learn flakes ... but is there a way to add dedsec GRUB2 themes w/o a flake??

Problem with install script in Linux mint

The script fails when using Linux mint.
The line: output = str(subprocess.check_output("cat /etc/*-release", shell=True).decode("utf-8")) fails because it encounters a folder with the -release suffix.

NO-CHANGE

HI GUYS
I used python script to install provided by you thankfully it went correctly but once i
sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg typed this it say`s following:

"Generating grub configuration file ...
Found theme: /boot/grub/themes/kali/theme.txt
Found background image: /usr/share/images/desktop-base/desktop-grub.png
Found linux image: /boot/vmlinuz-5.17.0-kali3-amd64
Found initrd image: /boot/initrd.img-5.17.0-kali3-amd64
Found linux image: /boot/vmlinuz-5.16.0-kali7-amd64

Warning: os-prober will not be executed to detect other bootable partitions.
Systems on them will not be added to the GRUB boot configuration.
Check GRUB_DISABLE_OS_PROBER documentation entry.
Adding boot menu entry for UEFI Firmware Settings ...
done"

I`m Curious Does This Changes Boot Loader Because of this "Found theme:
boot/grub/themes/kali/theme.txt"

And I think I need help for these: >>>

Warning: os-prober will not be executed to detect other bootable partitions.
Systems on them will not be added to the GRUB boot configuration.
Check GRUB_DISABLE_OS_PROBER documentation entry.

And thanks for the help !!!!
