Community / add-on widgets for Vardek — the macOS dashboard for the Corsair Xeneon Edge. Get the app first: vardekapp/Vardek · vardek.app.
Important
Upgrading from Vardek 1.0.18 or earlier (to 1.0.19 or later): every add-on
here was renamed from com.vardek.<name> to app.vardek.<name>. Old copies no
longer load.
git pullthis repo (or clone it fresh).- For each add-on you use:
./install-addon.sh app.vardek.<name>(removes the oldcom.vardek.<name>copy). - In Vardek: Admin (⌘A) → Widgets → Rescan, then Approve each add-on.
- UniFi Network / Flight Tracker: enter your API key again.
Widgets already on your pages switch over automatically and keep their settings. Full steps: Vardek README — Upgrading.
The Vardek app ships with a curated set of built-in widgets. This repo holds add-on widgets you can install after the fact — no app update, no rebuild. Vardek scans a user widgets directory alongside its bundled ones, so dropping a widget folder in and rescanning is all it takes.

Screenshots live in each widget's own folder/README — click through above.
Option A — script (easiest):
git clone https://github.com/vardekapp/vardek-widgets
cd vardek-widgets
./install-addon.sh app.vardek.day-nightThe script copies the folder to ~/Library/Application Support/Vardek/widgets/
(and removes an old com.vardek.* copy of the same add-on). Then open Admin
(Vardek menu → Open Admin, ⌘A), go to Widgets, click Rescan, Approve
the add-on, and place it.
Option B — manual:
- In Vardek Admin Widgets panel, click Open Folder — this opens
~/Library/Application Support/Vardek/widgets/in Finder. - Copy the widget folder (e.g.
app.vardek.day-night/) into it. - Click Rescan, then Approve the widget. It appears in the library — place it.
Either way: no app reinstall, no restart.
Upgrading from Vardek 1.0.18 or earlier? Add-ons were renamed from com.vardek.* to
app.vardek.* (Vardek 1.0.18+ reserves com.vardek.* for its built-in widgets
and ignores add-ons that use it). Pull this repo, re-run ./install-addon.sh
for each add-on you use, then Rescan and Approve in Admin. Widgets already on
your pages switch over automatically and keep their settings; UniFi Network and
Flight Tracker need their API key entered again.
Delete the widget folder from ~/Library/Application Support/Vardek/widgets/ and
click Rescan (or remove it from your layout in Admin first).
See AUTHORING.md for the widget contract (manifest, settings, sizes) and the runtime constraints. PRs adding new widgets are welcome.
Add-on widgets are HTML/JS that run in Vardek's sandboxed iframe (opaque origin, CSP, network calls confined to a per-widget proxy allowlist). The sandbox limits what a widget can do, but a widget can still use the capabilities it declares (network hosts in its manifest, any secrets you grant it in Admin) — treat installing one like installing a browser extension. Only install widgets whose source you're comfortable with. Everything here is source-viewable — read before you install.
Widgets and tooling in this repo: MIT. The Vardek app itself is a separate, closed-source product.
