mask-kml-polygons's Issues

How did you generate the cantons.kml?

Could you maybe explain somewhere how you generated the cantons.kml from the GG25 data?

I want to get polygons of cantons, local authorities, counties for displaying on a google map, but in the GG25 data, only the kmz file is lat/long based and it does not contain polygons. Just lines with no relations to each other.

It would be cool if you could let me know about how you processed the data :)

Incorrect mask example

$ xsltproc --stringparam mask '-25,15 40,15 40,80 -25,80 -25,15' cantons.kml > cantons_inverted.kml

should be

$ xsltproc --stringparam mask '-25,15 40,15 40,80 -25,80 -25,15' invert.xsl cantons.kml > cantons_inverted.kml

Great tool, thanks.

how to generate a "planet overlay"

Maybe you could add this to the readme:
If you want to generate a "planet overlay", use this 'mask' via --stringparam:
$ xsltproc --stringparam mask '-180,-180 180,-180 180,180 -180,180 -180,-180' invert.xsl cantons.kml > cantons_inverted.kml

Very nice stylesheet!! ๐Ÿ‘

Result of inversion is wrong

Hello,
I have tried inverting a kml file with the boundary of the city of Toronto that was generated using ArcMap and the result I get is clearly wrong. When looked at in Google earth it defines a much larger area somewhere in western Europe. Unfortunately, it doesn't look as if I can submit the kml file here.
