This issue is created to define in details read receipts handling in ios Vector.

on Jan 31 @erikjohnston said he fixed something but the problem came back.

It affects both Vector and Console

When a user invited by email registers, the room displays this message: " received an invitation from " like in this flow:

Can we replace the message by a more informative one, which displays the relationship between the email and the new userId? Like below:
registered as and received an invitation from <MXUserId / UserDisplayName>

Swipe on the right the chat screen to make appear recents list.
Unhand the chat screen -> the text input disappear?
Rotate the devive -> the screen is blank with only a back button! NOK

@jamesmonaghan tried to log into vector iOS using email address and failed - despite using the same email address to reset password for the app. Works when specifying username instead

• Add (admin) to You when user is admin
• Member order: consider first alpha before symbols (@...)

I could not dismiss the keyboard after sending a message.

The favourites order on vector ios is different than vector web:

Post a short message
Select it -> Edit button is cropped

After investigation, action is performed but it takes time.

The swipe menu must stay open until the end of the request

Change color separator above typing notification (silver instead of green)

The user should have full (anonymous) access to the app from the second he launches it.

1- select a message -> Edit mode is on
2 - send a new message
3 - tap on the last sent message -> a block of messages are still blurred NOK

The develop branch of vector-ios complains of a missing MXKRoomOutgoingTextMsgWithoutSenderInfoBubbleCell.h upon build.

Some users are missing in the search result.

For example, I did not observe "Yannick" in result whereas I filled "y" as search pattern.

RemoveDisable weird animation on the input field if you do a multiline input when it squeezes back to size and "Type a message" is distorted

Hide the topmost statusbar (network, time, battery) etc when viewing an image

Presently a default room name is built with the following format "() joe, john, alice..." where n is the number of members (excluding the current user).

In Vector, only one member name is displayed: "joe and others" (where k = n - 1).

BTW the day separator is going until the edge of the screen while there should be a margin.

Like in web client, all read receipts should be displayed when users taps on the receipts area.
They are collapsed on the second tap.

When user goes back to Messages screen the previous selected room is still selected: NOK.

Some improvements are required to reduce the length of the displayed dateTime in recents table:

• Remove year information for dates of less than one year.
• Remove week day on dates over than one week. "Fri Dec 11 14:45" -> "Dec 11 14:45"
• Omit time information for date over than one week."Dec 11 14:45" -> "Dec 11"

Sometimes (after cancelling several time the search for example), we can reach the situation when the keyboard disappears every time the user presses a key.

It would be very good to work out how to stop the read receipts popping the layout as they move around
(relatedly, the scroll offset jumps around badly when new messages arrive when you are scrolled back, which is very annoying)
