BUG: Number of Students Proficient Does not Look Correct in Tableau

Not a 100% sure what's going on since dashboard is still in Proof of Concept Phase but it looks like there's a potential bug in number of proficient students. Proficient I think means either Level 1 or 2 but that doesn't seem to be the case right now in the graph.

Randomly Perturb Latitude/Longitude Data

The Greenburgh Police department mentioned that as a courtesy, even though the data is public, we should perturb the latitude/longitude and just release street names.

Note that 0.0001 corresponds to roughly 100 feet (using http://www.csgnetwork.com/gpsdistcalc.html as a calculator).

Hello Vincent, this looks fantastic.

I was thinking about the perturbations; please make it 750-1500 feet, because 100-200 ft might still be in front of the same residence.
I understand that the dot won't be on the road, but I think we'll protect their privacy better that way.

To make it 750 feet perturbations,
we would want to adjust by 0.00075. If we adjust latitude and longitude both by 0.00075 then the total perturbation will be about 750 - 1500 feet (slightly more actually)

Look into voter turnout data?

Lucas mentioned that census socioeconomic characteristics may be hard to interpret since they may not be representative due to varying degrees of voter turnout. Maybe voter turnout is another interesting data point?

Bad Geocoding Results

1. For some reason Larceny case "2018007823" (118 Cabot Ave) is being mapped to 38.82056164, -76.22733569 which is somewhere in Maryland. Not sure why.
2. For all geocoding we should remove nulls. In particular, there's a case within the accidents data where there is a Null address being mapped to Africa.
