I count about 1300 orgs or users in the general registry. I assume one can quickly check on Github if the org name is an actual org or just an individual user. That would be a nice automated way to get all sorts of info about all Julia orgs - icons, descriptions, etc.

This Julia script builds a grid of organization logos. There are a few issues.

Running this the first time shows a few icons that are actually JPEGs, which Cairo/Luxor doesn't handle:

A workaround is to get these files separately, then convert to PNG, then run the script again (which I did to make the image above).

Should we convert this to a Julia package? It should be easy enough to download the logos in Julia directly. The post-processing code is all shaping up nicely in Julia anyways.
