kmod-ufs's Introduction

1. Inflact UFS file-system related code from the corresponded Linux kernel sources
 tar Jxf linux-3.9.4.tar.xz linux-3.9.4/fs/ufs

2. Prepare the UFS file-system sources
 mv linux-3.9.4/fs/ufs ufs-3.9.4
 cp -av Makefile ufs-3.9.4
 tar cfz ufs-3.9.4.tar.gz ufs-3.9.4

3. Put the .spec, *.patch and sources *.tar.gz into corresponded rpmbuild directories: %{BUILDROOT}/SPECS and %{BUILDROOT}/SOURCES
where:
 %{BUILDROOT}=/root/rpmbuild (on RHEL/CentOS 6.x)
 %{BUILDROOT}=/usr/src/redhat (on RHEL/CentOS 5.x)

4. Run the package build
 rpmbuild -ba --define="kversion `uname -r`" --define="name_suff -xen" rpmbuild/SPECS/ufs-kmod.spec
 rpmbuild -ba --define="kversion `uname -r`" --define="name_suff -uek" --define="release 1.onapp" rpmbuild/SPECS/ufs-kmod.spec
