I found the logs. Pasting it here. it says "Provider reports episode already watched; not updating".

The current watched count in myanimelist is 407. The episode I watched when this error occurred is 412, S14E23.

Hi, I presume it hasn't been set as watched in myanimelist? Also does it do this for all media?
Sometimes the plugin struggles to work out what season to use, for example I know that the Monogatari series has a lot of issues and not much can be done for these edge-cases.

Hi, yes. It hasn't been set as watched in myanimelist. It's good for all the other media. I believe it's not considering the season number, it's probably trying to set episode 23 as watched instead of episode 412. I wonder if it's to do with the TVDB metadata for Detective Conan series.

Do feel free to close this issue if there are no other suggestions I can try to fix the issue.

I managed to fix it.

Solution:

  1. Rename episode filenames with absolute numbering within separate folders for season with sonarr
  2. Scan and refresh

Metadata kept seasons but updated with absolute episode numbering and the plugin set the episode as watched in myanimelist as expected.
