Hi! Your code works on my thermal printer with USB linked to a Raspberry Pi Model 4. As you said, I didn't use CUPS or drivers that weren't working for my printer. So I send all the stuff to the USB.
I can print text now, but I need to print image too. It seems impossible with the .write command that works for text. I've imported the esc-pos library and pillow. How can I modify this code for printing images and sending them directly to the USB?

Not really an issue, more of a question: We have a receipt printer that has the capability to cut the receipt when printing has finished. When using the printer with a cash register it automatically makes a cut between each printed receipt. Is there some control character or sequence that we can write to the printer for it to trigger the cutting? The printer is a SEWOO SLK-TE323.

I just picked up a [used|inexpensive] Epson USB Thermal printer (model M249A), and am pleased to report that your code works just fine with that model, too.
