I followed you here from your issue you posted on the original sb3 library after I had found and solved the same issue apple502j/sb3#2. I have started writing documentation for that library.

I thought you might be interested in a little script which exports all media (svg, png, wav) using names from within the project. I have not done any conversion as you have.

So I got an .sb3 exported, but when I try to extract it the program just gives exceptions.

Some of the assets are empty files, possibly because they didn't contain any thing and are just empty squares...
But some are just xml (the svg files) without anything in the xml tag.

Some of it possibly came because the costume used the other type, so I have converted them and exported the project to fix that. But still some files which should have content don't have any content.
