movingsign_api's Issues

display_pause not working

Hi @webmonarch I was playing around with this api, and can't seem to get the display_pause option to work properly. Despite setting the value to 0, it seems to still pause for 1-2 seconds before showing the text I pass to the show_text function. My basic use case is a countdown clock to an event, so ideally, I'd like it to just display the text without any pause (or with a cool transition... which is what I assume display_mode is meant to do).

My code is below.

require 'time'
require 'movingsign_api'

# loop, executing every X seconds
def executeAtInterval(intervalInSeconds)
  last_tick = Time.now
  loop do
    sleep 0.1
    if Time.now - last_tick >= intervalInSeconds
      last_tick += intervalInSeconds
      yield
    end
  end
end

# create a movingsign object
sign = MovingsignApi::Sign.new '/dev/ttyUSB0'
sign.set_sound false
launch = Time.parse("2015-03-16")

# loop to execute every second
executeAtInterval(1) do
  display.show_text(Time.now.to_s, { :display_pause => 0 })
end

Any support or insight you could provide would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
