Open Street Map to threejs

An API to convert open street 2D map into 3D and render using threejs

About

The idea of the project is to make a 2D open street map into the 3D map. The data from OSM are retrived through the API provided by OSM and then converte into json file that can be rendered into the web browser using three js.

The developers can use this engine for making own 3D maps for game, gps etc.

Installation

Requirements
  • Ruby
  • Python 3
  • Bash Shell, with "GNU sed" (sorry mac guys)
  • web-browser

Backstory

This project was the create on LeapFrog hackathon [May 31 - Jun 01, 2014]
