"One of the SNPs I looked up (rs4646404) is located in an intron of the PEMT gene (chr17). However, Snipper annotated it as being within the MUC1 gene, which is on a different chromosome altogether (chr1). It looks like part of the issue is that "PEMT" is a synonym for MUC1 (it likely stands for something else, of course). However, the other two nearby genes listed for rs4646404 (RASD1 and MED9) do make sense."
