Classic Mechanics

Classic mechanics is a datapack I've made in the past and kind of abandoned up until recently, when I decided to revisit and upload it. The goal of this datapack is to re-insert older features, tweaks and mechanics of the game into modern minecraft, this includes various things from beta, alpha, infdev, indev, classic, early release, etc.

(Note: As this was done by, a more inexperienced, past me (hate that guy), this datapack is not currently in a state where I would be proud of it really. Currently, its more of a display piece than anything, I really do wanna redo a lot of this pack and will probably do so in the near future)

The datapack comes with 'modules' - each one is a different tweak/feature/mechanic, all of them are toggle-able/configurable at any time and are only ever active if enabled, to preserve game performance.

Remember that all modules are disabled by default! To enable them you must type in the command for the options/config message (listed below)

The options message contains a button you can click to see which modules are enabled/disabled, aswell as all modules, with the minecraft versions they were added and removed on

This datapack aims to be compatible with several other types of datapacks, meaning, it purposefully does not touch things like world/terrain generation and actively tries other, different methods for results that would require such a thing!

Compilation

Not a issue, but can you tell me how to make a mod from a datapack. I know that I need to somehow use some code from git modrinth, but I don't know how. Thank you in advance

Silk touch Ores

I'm playing on your latest release of your data pack with MC 1.20.6, and for some reason every ore except lapis has some sort of un-toggleable silk touch effect. None of my picks have the silk touch enchant and I've checked to see if maybe I accidently toggled on the old ore drops function, and that didn't seem to be the case. I created a new world just to double check, and unfortunately, it seems that when I have the pack installed, the effect is present no matter what I do.

Thank you for the great work on this pack! I like being able to play modern MC with features from when I was a kid.

Old Enderman Pickup + Old Mushroom Placement

I wanted to suggest two things that I feel like would fit into this Datapack/Mod.
Back in the Beta 1.8 Pre Release there were two features that did not make the cut when Beta 1.8 released. The first of those, I wanted to mention, was that Endermen could pick up Any blocks, even Bedrock or Spawners. The second would be that Red and Brown Mushrooms could be placed on Any block and when grown into their huge form, using bonemeal, they would turn the block they were placed on, into dirt.
