It does have support. But it needs a space after the semicolon.

That's weird, did you use winyl to tag that? If you tag on winyl it works. It shows different on mp3tag though, like this: Indie\\Post-Rock\\Post-Punk

The user interface of many applications use semicolons ( ; ) or two-backslashes ( \ ) to input the null character between the values. Some players as well as reading the null character, reads the semicolon as an additional delimiter within a single value. The second "feature" is not per spec of the tagging scheme.
