Hi, thanks for the feedback.
I've run into this issue myself and I have a todo list item to allow the journal to be disabled.
I'm also happy to accept a patch.

I've now added a --no-request-journal parameter in WireMock 1.33 (see http://wiremock.org/getting-started.html#running-standalone). Hopefully this should be enough to solve the problem you started with.
