drozer-agent

drozer (formerly Mercury) is a leading security testing framework for Android.

drozer allows you to search for security vulnerabilities in apps and devices by assuming the role of an app and interacting with the Dalvik VM, other apps' IPC endpoints and the underlying OS.

drozer provides tools to help you use, share and understand public Android exploits. It helps you to deploy a drozer Agent to a device through exploitation or social engineering. Using weasel (MWR's advanced exploitation payload) drozer is able to maximise the permissions available to it by installing a full agent, injecting a limited agent into a running process, or connecting a reverse shell to act as a Remote Access Tool (RAT).

drozer is open source software, maintained by WithSecure, and can be downloaded from [https://labs.withsecure.com/tools/drozer]

Building Using Android Studio

  1. Open Android Studio and launch the Android SDK manager from it (Tools > Android > SDK Manager)
  2. Check that these two components are installed and updated to the latest version. Install or upgrade them if necessary.
    1. Android SDK Platform Tools
    2. Android Support Library
    3. Google Play Services
    4. Google Repository
    5. Android NDK tools
  3. Return to Android Studio and select Import Project
  4. Select the drozer-agent directory
  5. Select "Import from existing model - Gradle"

IMPORTANT: Once imported make sure the project has been synchronized with the Gradle files.

Building Agent in Mercury

Hay I'm trying to build the agent either via doing the whole android update project;ant release story or through importing it into eclipse but I keep running into the same problem, I cant find these libraries

com.mwr.cinnibar
com.mwr.common

Can you help me by pointing out where they are? I expect I'm looking for some jar file somewhere?

tags missing for v2.3.2, v2.3.3, and v2.3.4

Thanks for drozer! We're working now to integrating it into the whole f-droid stack, and running it on all apps built for f-droid.org. In the process, we found that in git, drozer-agent is marked as 2.3.3, and there are no tags for v2.3.2, v2.3.3, and v2.3.4.

Also, the APK for v2.3.4 recently vanished from the site, perhaps due to a site reorg:

Start Server using adb

Just found this Docker image -> https://hub.docker.com/r/tracer0tong/android-emulator/
I'm super keen to combine this with the Drozer Docker image over docker-compose.
Current issue I'm having is not being able to start the server without a gui on the Android emulator.

Obviously exposing MainActivity.startServer() over a broadcast receiver for all builds is bad security practise, so could we possibly get a build option that exposes this server? or has it automatically start?

I am trying to compile the drozer-agent in order to make a modified apk. I changed some permissions in the android manifest. But everytime I make the project it gives me this error. I do have protobuf installed and can run protoc --version in the terminal.

Feature Request: Add IP address to Server activity.

Feature request;
it would be nice to see the IP address of the device on the same screen where the server is started to make it easier to connect to the app.

I would implement it myself but I currently suffer from a major case of "Skill Issue"

App CPU usage high when idle due to idle loop in Server/Client.java

A condition where a server connection is neither started nor running falls through the conditional statements resulting in an idle thread which consumes CPU power. An else condition should be added to exit the loop if not required. e.g.
